The Heart of Catalo Arbor Care
John Catalo is the owner and operator of Catalo Arbor Care, proudly serving Palm Beach County as an ISA certified arborist. With a deep-rooted passion for plants and the environment, John co-founded J Cat’s Backyard, Inc. a landscape and lawn maintenance company, with his wife. As their family grew, they decided to reduce their business accounts and eventually close the company to focus on family life.
John then had the privilege of working as a Field Representative II in the Landscape Zoning Department for Palm Beach County, where he gained valuable experience in urban design. In 2021, he graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in Urban Design and a minor in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
The Catalo family is an adventurous bunch who cherishes nature and the outdoors. Their three children admire John’s ambitious career path and affectionately refer to him as the “Tree Whisperer” and “Tree Doctor.”
With extensive plant knowledge and a commitment to quality, John established Catalo Arbor Care to specialize in tree care. His services include tree trimming, removals, diagnosis of plant issues, pathogen and fungal testing, small tree installation, and stump grinding. As a small and emerging business, Catalo Arbor Care is eager to consult with homeowners and businesses about their arboriculture needs.
Our Approach
Trees are very important to our planet. Our founder, John Catalo, follows strict ISA guidelines and Code of Ethics to ensure the health and safety of all trees. We do our best to preserve trees and educate about their value to properties such as helping reduce energy costs, acting as natural wind barriers, and improving air quality.
Our approach starts with a consultation with John, meeting at the location and analyzing the job. The next step is an email with an estimate and from there we agree upon desired work, date and time the job will begin and complete the tasks.
